A little bit about us...
Today is your day; everyone is here to see you, to experience your light. You are radiant, glowing, breathtaking. Your smile is ready yet demure, your hair falls just right. Your audience in waiting will rise to their tiptoes to steal a glimpse of your elegance.
Today is your day; a day where you feel as exquisite as you look and will want to remember forever.
Let us be there to capture those moments that go beyond the visual and delight your very being when you relive them many years from now.
“Today everything exists to end in a photograph.” Susan Sontag
Fern Tree consists of myself, Fern, and my wonderful husband Tim. Let me tell you our story.
I have always loved the beauty and emotion of a wedding, and have been inspired by the breath-taking images that can be produced. I studied photography with the dream of capturing those perfect moments.
As fate would have it, when I met Tim he was fast becoming one of South Africa's most in demand fashion photographers. With a career spanning 10 years, he has been published on billboards and magazine covers all the way from Jozi to New York (www.timhulme.com).
Our combined talents were a match made in heaven and gave me the opportunity to realise my dream. We have developed a style that perfectly balances the escapism and story-telling of fashion photography, with the raw power of photojournalism.
I take pride in having an eye for elegant touches and always pay attention to the finer details that have such a big impact. I love spotting those special glances that capture the mood of the day forever. This, combined with Tim's extensive technical knowledge and couture fashion background allows us to produce the kind of results that stand out from our competitors.
We pursue the classic, approaching each wedding with a balance between fashion photography and photojournalism, avoiding clichés and trends and working instead towards timeless images. Let us capture your special moments like you’ve never seen before.
